An Artistic Celebration of Women's History in Support of 1 Year to Empowerment
On Saturday, March 9th, 1 Year to Empowerment will be hosting the 2nd annual “Empowerment Through the Arts” Gala Fundraiser at Dove Pointe in Salisbury, Maryland.
This annual event will bring Eastern Shore artists (of all kinds!) together for one night, in support of 1 Year to Empowerment’s middle and high school programs! The event will take place during Women’s History Month (held nationally, each March), artwork from local artists and the middle and high school “Empowerees” will be on display. Guests will also be able to bid on silent auction baskets and participate in a live auction. Live musical, theatrical, and movement performances will take place!
In addition to live performances and an art gala, attendees will enjoy a cocktail hour with hors d'oeuvres with opportunities to browse local artisans, vendors, and arts-focused organizations. Following the cocktail hour, attendees will be able to sit back…indulge in a delicious dinner…and enjoy the show! The night will end with dessert, drinks, and dancing!
All proceeds from the evening will benefit 1 Year to Empowerment, a program operated under The Child & Family Foundation Inc.
Since 2014, 1 Year to Empowerment has provided a free, year-long wellness program that empowers middle and high school girls on the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland to make healthy choices, trusting friendships, and attainable goals.
